The balloting took place under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ikram Malik, MNA Chaudhry Riazul Haq Juj, and MPA Mian Muhammad Munir. Municipal Committee Administrator and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Muhammad Saleem Chishti moderated the event.

Located next to the District Courts Complex, the food street features colorful lamps, canopies, and safety grills to protect children and other visitors.

Of the 39 shops, 10 have been reserved for women, 19 for the general public, and 10 for vendors offering city-level branded food products, including sweets. The food street will offer a variety of items, including kulfi, gol gappay, ice gola, pizza, mutton and chicken karahi, beverages, tea, and coffee.

Monthly rent has been set at Rs. 5,000 for smaller shops and Rs. 7,500 for larger ones. To encourage shop owners to open their outlets, the authorities will waive rent for the first two months.
