Meezan Bank Limited, the pioneer and undisputed leader of Islamic Banking in Pakistan with a nationwide network of over 1,000 branches, is seeking a Manager for Islamic Banking & Corporate Financial Planning at its Head Office in Karachi.
The position sits within the Finance & Treasury Division, reporting to the Head of Financial Planning. You will oversee management reporting, capital adequacy computation under Basel III guidelines, quarterly financial statements, and financial feasibility modeling for Islamic asset-financing and Sukuk products.
The ideal candidate has strong familiarity with the Shariah governance frameworks issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI), ensuring that all treasury operations strictly adhere to Shariah-compliant accounting standards.

- Lead preparation and consolidation of quarterly and annual financial statements compliant with IFRS and AAOIFI standards.
- Oversee SBP regulatory reporting, including CRR/SLR compliance, liquidity coverage ratios (LCR), and Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR).
- Conduct monthly variance analysis comparing budget vs. actual performance across business units and branch operations.
- Collaborate with Shariah Supervisory Board to review financial structuring of Murabaha, Ijarah, Diminishing Musharakah, and Istisna transactions.
- Coordinate with statutory external auditors (Big 4) and internal audit committees during annual financial audits.
- Prepare board presentation packages, CEO briefing decks, and macroeconomic impact evaluations on interest-free banking.
- Guide digital automation of financial reporting through SAP S/4HANA ERP modules.

- Chartered Accountant (CA Qualified / Finalist) or ACCA / ACMA Member, or MBA in Finance from an HEC recognized institution.
- 5 to 9 years of relevant post-qualification experience in commercial or Islamic banking finance departments.
- Deep knowledge of IFRS 9 (Financial Instruments), AAOIFI Financial Accounting Standards, and SBP Prudential Regulations.
- Advanced financial modeling skills in Microsoft Excel and experience operating SAP ERP or core banking systems (Temenos / Misys).
- High integrity, meticulous eye for detail, and strong understanding of Islamic jurisprudence regarding financial contracts.
- Excellent business communication and executive presentation skills.
