The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) has opened a daycare center at Power Wing Colony to support female employees and care for their children during working hours.

HESCO CEO Faizullah Dahri inaugurated the facility and formally launched its operations.

According to a company spokesperson, HESCO first planned the project nearly three years ago under Ministry of Energy directives. The center occupies a first-floor apartment in Power Wing Colony and caters to children aged six months to five years.

The spokesperson said the daycare center provides separate sleeping arrangements, a dedicated play area and a study space. HESCO has also appointed five staff members to care for the children and supervise daily activities.

During the inauguration, Dahri praised Manager (TMP) Pashmina Shaikh for successfully establishing the center and bringing it into operation.

He said HESCO remained committed to employee welfare and better workplace facilities. In particular, he identified the needs of female employees and their children as a key management priority.

Dahri added that the center would help female employees focus on their professional duties while remaining confident about their children’s care and safety.

General Manager (Development) PMU Farah Diba described the center as a valuable facility for female employees.

She said reliable childcare during office hours would reassure working mothers and help them concentrate more effectively on their responsibilities.

Meanwhile, Director General (HR & Administration) Shafique Ahmed Memon said the center’s main purpose was to support HESCO’s female workforce and ensure proper care for their children.

Chief Technical Officer Tufail Mirbahar and Chief Law Officer Tanveer Abdullah attended the inauguration. Other attendees included Manager (HRM) Nasir Ali Khan, Manager (Legal) Manjhi Khan Hingorjo and Deputy Manager (Public Relations) Muhammad Saadiq Kubber, alongside other officials and staff members.
