Job Description & Role Mission
10Pearls is hiring an accomplished Principal Cloud DevOps & Platform Architect to design, automate, and safeguard mission-critical multi-cloud infrastructures for Global 2000 enterprises across healthcare, fintech, and telecommunications.
As the technical authority on cloud platform architecture, you will define Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) governance blueprints, architect highly available Kubernetes clusters, and build automated zero-trust DevSecOps delivery pipelines that enforce regulatory compliance (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC2).
This is a senior remote-first position where you will provide technical leadership to 15+ DevOps engineers, mentor squad leads, interface with client CTOs in Washington DC and London, and champion continuous automation, chaos engineering, and FinOps cloud spend optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy high-availability, multi-region cloud infrastructures across AWS and Azure using Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Manage production-grade Kubernetes (EKS / AKS) clusters, including ingress controllers, service mesh (Istio), and autoscaling policies (Karpenter / HPA).
- Design end-to-end GitOps CI/CD delivery pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, GitLab CI, and automated vulnerability scanning (Trivy, SonarQube).
- Implement enterprise observability and telemetry stacks using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Datadog.
- Lead cloud financial management (FinOps), implementing right-sizing, spot-instance strategies, and reserved capacity planning.
- Define disaster recovery (DR) playbooks, multi-AZ failovers, and execute regular chaos engineering drills.
- Serve as technical liaison during client security audits, penetration testing remediation, and compliance certifications.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 6+ years of specialized experience in Cloud Architecture, SRE, and DevOps engineering.
- Active professional certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA/CKS).
- Advanced mastery of Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and modular blueprint architecture.
- Deep hands-on experience running distributed microservices on Kubernetes in production environments.
- Strong scripting capability in Bash, Python, or Go for automation tooling.
- Demonstrated expertise in network architecture, VPC peering, Transit Gateways, WAFs, and TLS termination.
- Exceptional stakeholder presentation and communication skills.
